Fabulous from start to finish - aromatically there's more to come, obviously, but this has the fat and volume of Pucelles delivered in a weightless, translucent way. Super-pure and very elegant, it's both powerful and delicate - graceful. Drinking range: 2024 - 2032 L&S (Oct 2020)

There is enough reduction to overshadow the underlying fruit at present so if you’re going to try a bottle before 2 to 3 years, I would advise decanting it first. Otherwise there is a beguiling sense of energy suffusing the medium-bodied flavors that possess a succulent mid-palate which contrasts somewhat with the bone-dry and youthfully austere finale. This is both classy and very stylish and a wine that should age gracefully. Drinking range: 2031 - Rating: 95 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jun 2021)

The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles exhibits aromas of orange oil, toasted nuts, pear and white flowers, framed by a deft touch of new oak. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with an ample core of fruit and bright girdling acids, it concludes with a precise, mouthwatering finish. Drinking range: 2024 - 2044 Rating: 93 William Kelley, The Wine Advocate (Jan 2021)

Vibrant primrose. The Pucelles offers a high class nose without seducing me quite as much as the bouquet of the Puligny Perrières. The wine is a little thicker in texture, but doesn’t express itself with quite the same striking purity, detail and precision, but we are quibbling about nuances between superb wines. Tasted: October 2020 **** Rating: 92-95 Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy  (Oct 2020)

Domaine Henri Boillot

A domaine which dates to 1885, but which began properly in the early years of the 20th century under the current Henri's grandfather (also Henri). His son, Jean, was the one who really developed it. Henri arrived in 1975 and worked his way up, becoming the winemaker. In 2000 he began the building of the new winery at the bottom of Meursault, and he then bought out his brother and sister to keep the domaine as one, renaming it from 'Domaine Jean Boillot' to 'Domaine Henri Boillot' to avoid confusion with his brother Jean-Marc's domaine.

The Domaine totals around 14 hectares, with roughly equal surfaces of red and white, and of which just under 4ha is the Monopole vineyard of Clos de la Mouchère, a walled enclave within the premier Cru Puligny Perrières. The 2017 vintage saw the arrival of two new parcels of Grand Cru red, in Échezeaux and Latricières Chambertin
