From 50-90 year old vines. Still in barrel, not racked so has never had any added SO2. Showing well in the context, fresh and mineral and distinctly Puligny, there's a little interplay of sweetness and salinity. Lovely example, give it a bit of time if you can, if well-stored it will go on past this drinking window. Drinking range: 2024 - 2036 L&S (Nov 2021)

A firmly reduced nose reveals nothing of interest. Otherwise there is fine richness to the generously proportioned that manage to be reasonably delineated on the intense, lemony and markedly dry finale. This is finer than the Concis but less complex though I suspect that will change with age. Drinking range: 2026 - Rating: 89-91 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jun 2021)

Mingling aromas of pear and mandarin with hints of buttered toast and hazelnuts, Lamy's 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Les Tremblots is medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with tangy acids and a tightly wound, incisive profile. Concluding with a saline finish, this is well worth seeking out. Rating: 90-93 William Kelley, The Wine Advocate (Jan 2021)

The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Les Tremblots Vieilles Vignes had just completed its malolactic when I visited at the end of October. It has a pithy, pear and red apple scented bouquet with a light sea spray note. The palate is well balanced with sour lemon, orange zest and a long saline finish. This is a tremendous Puligny that should age with style. Drinking range: 2023 - 2038 Rating: 91-93 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (Dec 2020)

Domaine Hubert Lamy

Olivier Lamy has built on the solid foundations his father Hubert prepared with twenty years and more of work in the vineyards. Today the Domaine has 18.5 hectares of vines - 80% are Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir. The vines are in several appellations - Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay, as well as the excellent Bourgogne Blanc. The reputation of the domaine is now made, but the Saint Aubins, both red and white, remain some of the bargains of Côte d'Or, and challenge the supposed superiority of the grander village names on a regular basis, both in terms of young and mature wines.

Olivier's wine-making style and preference is to emphasise the fresh and the mineral side of his wines, and there is very little new wood in this cellar, with many wines with no new wood at all, and that is with the wines in 600 litre demi-muids rather that the classic Burgundy (225 litre) fût. Certainly Oliver's whites do have an arrow-like purity and intensity, and seem to age completely straight and true.

The reds are worth more than a casual mention too. Olivier has been getting some consultation help from Sylvain Pataille, and the wines have energy and bounce along with the supple tannins and ripeness.
