Very broad rich nose, the thicker cloth of Vosne, but with a very fine weave and cashmere tannins giving volume without astringency. Floral aromatics, lifted, juicy very slightly tannic finish - fruit is held so long in these tannins which seem to be packed with spicy juice. Drinking range: 2024 - 2034 L&S (Feb 2029)

(from a .49 ha parcel on the Vosne side). A more deeply pitched, and more expressive, nose is comprised by wonderfully spicy notes of black cherry, plum liqueur and violet. The delicious, refined and intense flavors brim with minerality and the same beguiling tension that renders the balanced, lingering and youthfully austere finish wonderfully refreshing. This needs to add depth, but the extended aging horizon should allow that to gradually occur in time. Drinking range: 2031 - Rating: 90-93 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jan 2021)

The 2019 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts is lively and fine-boned, delivering aromas of raspberries, plums, blood orange and spices. Medium-bodied, bright and perfumed, it's elegant and mineral, showing this site's ethereal side. Rating: 91-93 William Kelley, The Wine Advocate (Jan 2021)

Huge dense purple. Dark fresh fruit with a beautifully spicy element, the nose keeps pulling me back for more. There are even some floral notes here, while the fruit is both fresh and dark at the same time. Middleweight on the palate, some redcurrant elements emerging towards the back, to help keep the tension - there is a lot going on here. Tasted: November 2020 4/5 stars Rating: 92-96 Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy  (Jan 2021)

Domaine Christophe Perrot-Minot

Christophe Perrot-Minot is now the fourth generation of his family producing wine on the estate after his great grandfather Amédée Merme devoted himself to the management and production of wine over 130 years ago. The estate has gone from strength to strength – always keeping the highest standards. Integrated viticulture has been practiced for many years now which has been adapted especially for the terroir. No herbicide or chemical fertilizer is used, instead, Christophe prefers to “stand back and listen to this terroir, only intervening when necessary or when the weather requires it, never systematically.” This is one of the star domaines of the whole of Burgundy.
