This incredibly limited wine really impressed us when tasting. Château La Contrée only produces 2800 bottles of this one wine from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a plot planted on deep gravel, between starry neighbours of Pontet-Canet and Mouton Rothschild. Winemaker Mr Camou is an oenologue for a very well established Bordeaux negociant, and we are very excited to have a tiny quantity of his personal project. All aged in French oak (of which 25% is new) for 12 to 16 months, this is quintessential Pauillac - supremely elegant with a great core of cassis and blackberry fruit. Gorgeous balance and rich velvety tannins. L&S (May 2026)
