'Laurent Ponsot is neither a "domaine" nor a "house": it is a state of mind' say the owners. The company started by Laurent Ponsot and his son Clément when he separated from the family domaine has 7 hectares of vines which is is responsible for, but also buys fruit and acts as a very modern style of négociant 'haute couture'.

Laurent's long history and experience as one of the leading lights of Cote de Nuits viticulture over the last forty years is now invested in this new venture, in which he emphasises modernity and technology alongside tradition. The team he has started with are all people he has worked with for over twenty years at Domaine Ponsot. The vines are cultivated without any eco dogma, but without chemicals - nevertheless they reserve the right to treat with modern products in case of real need. All the wines are corked with recyclable technical corks developed by Laurent since the 1980s and produced by his company, which guarantee no cork taint and consistency between all the bottles of each wine. All the wines have NFC chips embedded in the capsules which are a guarantee of authenticity. All the cases have NFC thermo sensors which record the temperature of the interior of the case every three hours over a period of fifteen years. These NFCs can be read by free apps on any modern smartphone.

These are great wines of Burgundy which have the additional guarantees of the huge investments in modern technology.
