The nose here is so alluring it's a race to get this into your mouth. Initial hit of soft strawberries is pulled tight by some lovely clean lines and a delightful mineral firmness in the middle-palate. Then the delicate pink and red berry fruits pop back up - a wonderful delicate perfume builds - with some insistence this year. Expansive yet refined this is a total charmer from vineyards on the shores of Lake Garda. There is just enough shape and structure to work brilliantly with light lunches - but this is also a wonderful aperitivo. L&S (May 2022)

La Feliciana
La Feliciana is a small winery south of Lake Garda, in the Commune of Pozzolengo, and remarkably peaceful, with gentle rolling hills and vineyards stretching off into the distance; the only thing that would make you wonder if it has always been this way is the massive stone tower built on a low hill a couple of miles away: It's the monument to the Battle of San Martino, fought by the Piemontese against half of the Austrian army while their French allies were fighting the other half at Solferino, a few miles away.
