Bokkeveld shale, planted in 2006, vinified in stainless steel. Intense, concentrated, pure and limey with lovely concentration. Very bold with intense citrus fruit, showing energy and precision. There鈥檚 a tiny hint of sweetness (6.9 g/l residual sugar) and this has power, weight and layers of flavour. 95/100 Rating: 95 Jamie Goode, www.wineanorak.com (Sept 2023)

Moya Meaker
Canadian businessman and former owner of Bordeaux鈥檚 Chateau Gaby, David Curl married South African born Genevieve Hamilton-Brown which ultimately led them to Elgin where they acquired a farm called Habibi, planted mainly to apples but also including small parcels of Pinot Noir and Shiraz, the resulting wines named after Genevieve鈥檚 late mother Moya Meaker, who was crowned Miss South Africa in 1959.
