We were delighted to find this looking so very tasty when visiting the domaine in early November 2022. The village Saint Veran is a superb effort in a less than perfect vintage. Clever stuff from Damien who seems to never put a foot wrong. This opens up with a really nice bright citrus punch. Icing sugar and lemon surprise pudding - svelte, but the palate is bright and flows. Not a heavyweight, nice gently weighted fruit - but very fun and charming. No new wood - and no smaller barrels - just a proportion of older wooden foudres so as not to dampen the exuberance! Mission accomplished here with the 2021. L&S (Nov 2022)
