Lovely nose, very lemony and ripe but saline. Great fresh acidity, lemon curd richness. Nutty, with sweet preserved orange peel. Some oyster shell on the finish. Very good, always such a classic Chablis - in 2022 this hits all the right notes L&S (Dec 2023)

The 2022 Chablis Village is delightful, fresh, and quite animated with orange rind, Golden Delicious and light nutty scents. Very precise. The palate is well-balanced with a crisp line of acidity, quite spicy on the mid-palate with a pleasant richness on the finish without compromising terroir expression. Domaine Laurent Tribut
Laurent Tribut is married to Vincent Dauvissat's sister, Marie Clotilde. When he started he made his wines in the Dauvissat cellar in Chablis, but now this small family-run domaine is based in Poinchy. Laurent has now officially retired and has now handed over to three of their four children (Solange, Adeline and Gabriel), with Solange taking the lead in the winery.
With just 6 hectares the quantities are small - but the quality of all the cuv茅es is extraordinary. Pure, powerfully driven, classically shaped there is more than a passing similarity to the wines of his brother-in-law, the head-line grabbing Vincent Dauvissat. Buyers will enjoy these long-lived wines with some time in bottle too - they have a great ability to age and patience will pay off, we recently tasted the 1er Cru C么te de L茅chet 2004 with Laurent in his cellar and it was bright, young and full of vigour - nearly 15 years on, and in 2020 the 2000 Beauroy was still in it鈥檚 prime. In 2025, the 2014 village Chablis was looking lively and mineral, and would be a great foil for some foods. This is brilliant, classic Chablis.

This roll-call of the world's most respected producers begins with the cult hero 2020 Ch芒teau des Tours, a fleshy and elegant C么tes du Rh么ne produced by the legendary Emmanuel Reynaud of Ch芒teau Rayas fame. For the white wine lover, we include the 2022 Domaine Laurent Tribut Chablis, a classic wine from the brother-in-law of Vincent Dauvissat, and the 2022 Bodega Chacra Mainqu茅 Chardonnay, a Patagonian masterpiece made in collaboration with Burgundy legend Jean-Marc Roulot.
The collection continues with the 2021 Domaine Tempier Cuv茅e Classique, the quintessential expression of Bandol Mourv猫dre, and the massive, incredibly concentrated 2019 Ch芒teauneuf-du-Pape 'Les Hauts Lieux' from Domaine de la Vieille Julienne, which was awarded 98+ points. Finally, to celebrate, we have included the Eric Rodez Cuv茅e des Cray猫res, a Grand Cru Champagne from a winemaker who learned his craft as an oenologist at Krug.
