Lovely lifted white flower nose with just a touch of ripeness to the fruit which makes it so inviting. Satisfying rich on the palate, but finishes fresh and long. This is so well balanced and already delicious to drink. L&S (Dec 2023)

A light green touch. The bouquet has character, verbena with a saline note, pure white fruit on the palate, with definitely the little saline touch though the fruit is ripe, with a fresh apricot note according to Lydie. Jean-Marc's daughter Lydie and son-in-law François Alzingre have worked alongside him and effectively run the domaine, and are now being joined by their children. Alongside the wines from the family's own vineyards, They also run a successful négociant business, vinifying wines from the Côte Chalonnaise with huge aplomb. In Montagny in particular, the wine is the best we have found in the appellation, and remarkably consistent from year to year.

Slightly paler than the Crays, this is all in finesse. Slightly leaner too - a blade-like slipping wet stone and rock juice. It's immensely attractive without being as 'large' as the Crays.
