This Pinot is light and see-through in the glass — but don’t be fooled. There’s surprising fruit weight and extraction here for such a delicate-looking wine. Nose is full of charm. Candied strawberry, pomegranate, violet, dried cranberry, a touch of blackcurrant leaf. Palate is smooth and supple. Velvety tannins just glide. No grip to speak of. Fruit leans a little into the cooked end, but there’s still structure there. Nicely put together. Very drinkable. L&S (Sept 2025)

Here we have the 2024 Peninsula Pinot Noir that leads with cherry and star anise, raspberry and red licorice, strawberry and tapenade. In the mouth, the wine has a smoky edge to it, coupled with the creamy flow of fruit and tannin. This is a lovely wine: joyful, straightforward, delicious. 13% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
