CHÂTEAU FEYTIT CLINET

2025 Pomerol

Colour Red
Origin France, Bordeaux
Sub-district Pomerol & Lalande de Pomerol
Village Pomerol
ABV 14%

The 2025 Feytit-Clinet has quite a bit of reduction on the nose, but it blows away to reveal enticing blackberry and bilberry fruit, hints of truffle oil and black pepper. The oak is well integrated. The palate is very well balanced, with a sense of vibrancy, almost urgency, on the entry. Silky smooth tannins, perfectly judged acidity, tender and long on the finish, this might be the best Feytit that I have tasted from barrel, perhaps the "insiders' Pomerol" of the vintage? Drinking range: 2032 - 2055 Rating: 94-96 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (May 2026)

A Merlot-heavy blend of 87% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Franc that will spend 15 months in 65% new French oak, the 2025 Château Feytit Clinet is just brilliant, with a full-bodied, deep, and layered profile packed with blue and black fruits, chocolate, and tobacco. On the palate, it's concentrated and powerful yet stays weightless and flawlessly balanced, with velvety tannins and a great finish. Hitting 14% alcohol, this is up with the crème de la crème of the Right Bank, as well as Bordeaux in general. Rating: 97-99 Jeb Dunnuck, www.jebdunnuck.com (May 2026)

Cohesive, with precise tannins and a pretty expression of dark fruit. Velvety and elegant with a bright finish. Rating: 94-95 James Suckling, www.jamessuckling.com (Apr 2026)

The 2025 Feytit-Clinet is a wild, exotic beauty. Succulent red/purplish fruit, exotic spice, blood orange, mint and rose petal caress the palate. A kiss of new French oak is nicely judged. Floral top notes pull it all together on the close. Stylistically, proprietor Jeremy Chasseuil has moved away from the darker, more extracted wines of the past. Tasted two times. Drinking range: 2033 - 2055 Rating: 94-96 Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com (Apr 2026)

Château Feytit Clinet

Jérémy Chasseuil took this property in hand in 2000, and the wines have got better with every passing vintage, truly showing the potential of this tiny 6.5 hectare property, set right in the heart of Pomerol (close to Clinet, Trotanoy and Latour à Pomerol). It's on gravelly-sandy and clay soils and planted with 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, with vines that average over 30 years old. Despite the name, and the statement "mis en bouteille au chateau" on the label, there is no château, just a small well-equipped chai.
The grapes are hand-picked before fermentation in concrete and steel vats, where they spend four or five weeks before the wine is run off for the malolactic fermentation in barrel. The wine is aged for around 18 months is up to 80% new oak barrels.
