This linear wine shows blackberries, blueberries and some dark chocolate. It’s medium-bodied with ultra-fine tannins. The texture is so caressing. Lovely length. A pure and precise wine. Aged in in concrete tank and 30-hectoliter casks. Rating: 94-95 James Suckling, www.jamessuckling.com (Apr 2026)

The 2025 Marsau is a potent 100% Merlot on clay. Powerful and explosive, the 2025 possesses remarkable density from start to finish. Black fruit, mocha, licorice, dark spice and chocolate fill out the layers. Yields were just 20 hectoliters per hectare. All that richness comes through in the glass. Château Marsau
Château Marsau is a well-known property in the small Bordeaux sub-region of the Côtes de Francs, but part of the property extends across the Départmental border into Dourdogne and is, thus, in AC Bergerac. This portion is the "Enclos de Bernerderie" and is planted with Cabernet Franc.

Crunchy and pretty, with peaches, dark chocolate, walnut and spices on the nose and palate. Medium body, firm and racy with a bright finish. The quality is always excellent, and it’s extremely well priced. Drink or hold.
