The 2025 Moulin Saint-Georges was picked between September 11 and 18 and aged for 18 months entirely in new oak. Incidentally, the vines here are under organic conversion. Firstly, the oak is neatly integrated on the nose, in fact, you would guess there is much less than 100%, the brambly red berry fruit mixed with sous-bois and leather coming through nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied, with pliant tannins, very pure and refined, more blueberry and cassis fruit coming through with a rounded, smooth finish that is oddly just a little Petit Verdot-like (none here, incidentally). This should age well in bottle, but will be seductive in its flush of youth. Rating: 92-94 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (May 2026)

Crafted from 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, this spectacular Moulin is a masterclass in balance. We re-tasted it over two days, and it completely blew us away. The secret? The estate’s cooler, northwest-facing slopes shielded the grapes from two pre-harvest heatwaves. While others struggled, this wine locked in a vibrant, gorgeous freshness—a brilliant trait we saw across the finest Right Bank estates this vintage. On the palate, the dominant Merlot wraps you in a dense, velvety core, while the expressive Cabernet Franc brings an ethereal lift. From the very first sip, you are hit with plush dark fruits—think snappy, fresh blueberry skin. It is incredibly sleek, perfectly balanced, and moves from a structured grip into pure elegance. Quite frankly, it is delicious.L&S (May 2026)
The 2025 Moulin Saint-Georges is a delight. Plump and juicy, with lovely forward fruit, the 2025 offers up generous blue/purplish fruit, lavender, licorice, mint and cinnamon. Soft, supple curves add to its considerable appeal. This inviting Saint-Émilion is a total charmer. Best of all, it should drink well with minimal cellaring. Drinking range: 2028 - 2040 Rating: 90-92 Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com (Apr 2026)
Really fruit forward on the nose with so much red and blue berry aromas - fragrant and super expressive. Supple and succulent, juicy and so lively, really energetic and bright on the mid-palate but not too tart or sharp. Clean and pure, maybe a touch light but there’s no doubting this is fun and elegant at the same time. Fruity, so juicy, succulent and mouthwatering with really fine tannins. Finessed with lots to like here because it all feels so well balanced - on a wire but compelling. A yield of 30hl/ha. 3.5pH. 100% new oak. Rating: 94 Georgie Hindle - Decanter (Apr 2026)
Château Moulin Saint Georges
Owned by Alain Vauthier, Château Moulin Saint Georges is situated in Saint-Emilion and covers 7 hectares. The vineyards are well sited on the south-west facing 'Pavie' slope. The average age of the vines on this slope is 26 years old, and they are planted at a density of 6500 vines/hectare. Vauthier believes that the quality of his wine is a direct result of how well the vines are tended to, therefore yields are kept extremely low in order to concentrate the flavour, and all grapes are hand-harvested to ensure only the best grapes are used in production.
