The 2025 Clos du Clocher is fabulous. In fact, the 2025 is one of the best vintages I have tasted of late. Clos du Clocher impresses with its energy and vibrancy. Red/purplish fruit, blood orange, mocha, espresso and exotic spice soar from the glass. The blend is 78% Merlot and 22% Cabernet Franc, much of it from older vines that confer notable dimension. Clos du Clocher
A property in three plots on the plateau of Pomerol, about 4.6 hectares, a mixture of clay, gravel and sandy soils, planted with 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. The wine is aged in about 60% new wood and production is around 2000 cases per annum. A new chai was created in 2010, and quality has leapt forward here.
