Our Rosé Selection for 2020
With summer just around the corner, we've put together our current selection of palate pleasing rosé wines ready to hit your glasses. Available online or in any of our shops.
You don't need to chase vintages with the premium made rosés; the superbly made 2018's are still coming into their own after a year in bottle with some of the more spritely fruit and middle weight tempered deftly by balanced acidity and secondary characteristics coming to the fore as they evolve, but all the while maintaining their clean freshness and delineated structure.
Certainly the 2019 Tempier rosé will develop beautifully over the next five years at least alongside our other high-end Provençal wines such as Rosé Bonbon that will also develop for at least another year or so, but also provide immense immediate enjoyment and refreshment.
For those who enjoy a drier style of wine, try the 2019 Sancerre Rosé from Vincent Delaporte which is always crisp and delightful refresher in its youth, develops some lovely secondary characters with another year in bottle, the strawberry bouquet fills out, in fact it starts to behave more like the Pinot Noir it is.
Plus of course the new 2019 vintage of our iconic MiP* Rosé which is tasting as pure and drinkable as always and an unbeatable bargain for any rosé connoisseur or casual wine drinker at £13.50 in a case.

2019 GRENACHE-CINSAULT Rosé Domaine Saint Félix
Languedoc-Roussillon France 12.5% Rosé

Wonderfully pale Rosé from the Languedoc-Roussillon. Made from Cinsault & Grenache (two key grape varieties in Provence), this is a great value alternative to the more aromatic Provencal styles that have taken the UK by storm. Lots of crunchy red fruits & refreshing acidity.

This delicious English rosé comes from the gloriously situated vineyard in the heart of the Surrey hills. Of all the wines we 'ship' this has the shortest journey coming from the very local winery in the pretty village of Chilworth, just outside London. 2019 is their third vintage r...(read more)

2019 TM ROSÉ Rosato Tenuta Monteti
Bolgheri Tuscany Italy 13% Rosé
Cabernet Franc, Merlot. Magnums
Tasted at our Italian tasting on the 26th February - as always Javier has made a great Rosé that has that sought after paleness of Provence. However, this is made from 80% Merlot & 20% Cabernet Franc and immediately, on the palate, there is a sense of real personality about this...(read more)

2019 MIP* Classic Rosé Made in Provence
Provence France 12.5% Rosé
Syrah, Cinsault, Grenache. Magnums
Taking into consideration the warmth of the 2019 vintage, Guillaume has balanced this wine beautifully. Initial attack of grapefruit, pear and hawthorn, then fresh red fruits. In the mouth the wine has that lovely textural balance of gentle tannin, ripe citrus, cherry and redcurrant and th...(read more)
