Best Rosé Wines for 2022
With summer now here, we've put together our current selection of palate pleasing rosé wines ready to hit your glasses. Available online or in any of our shops.
You don't need to chase vintages with the premium made rosés; the superbly made 2020's are still coming into their own after a year in bottle with some of the more spritely fruit and middle weight tempered deftly by balanced acidity and secondary characteristics coming to the fore as they evolve, but all the while maintaining their clean freshness and delineated structure.
Certainly the Equinoxe from Domaine Yannick Amirault will develop beautifully over the next few years at least and will stand up well to hearty BBQ fare, but also provide immense immediate enjoyment and refreshment.
For those who enjoy a drier style of wine, try the Sancerre Rosé from Vincent Delaporte which is always crisp and delightful refresher in its youth, develops some lovely secondary characters with another year in bottle, the strawberry bouquet fills out, in fact it starts to behave more like the Pinot Noir it is.
Plus of course the new 2021 vintage of our iconic MiP* Rosé which is tasting as pure and drinkable as always and an unbeatable bargain for any rosé connoisseur or casual wine drinker at £13.50 in a case.
