Rich and ripe, giving fine volume and even a touch of sweetness to the fruit, all lifted by citrussy acidity. Very much a baby Meursault.

Macabeo. A bit simple and dilute – but it’s not Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc! A tad astringent but very nice label. 12%

Unoaked. Firm, confident and distinctive. Youthful, too, with lots of citrus elements. A little tart for the moment but I’m sure it will bloom. 13%

Aged for 12–18 months on the less in concrete eggs and clay amphora. Then aged in bottle for a further 12 months before release. Juicy, fleshy orange, grapefruit flesh on a pillow of creamy leesy character. A subt...(read more)
