'Un vin gourmand'. Rich, hedonistic warm ripeness, a touch of sweetness. Harmonious, round, floral, red and black fruit, all fine and subtle. All very delicate and fine-grained despite obvious power. 'The sweetest and most feminine cru of Gevrey, almost a Chambolle', says Bernard. L&S (Dec 2011)

The 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin Petite Chappelle emerges from the glass with freshly cut flowers, spices, mint and licorice. This is a totally harmonious, gracious wine from Bernard Dugat. The richness and weight of the fruit are very nicely balanced by the cooler, more vibrant qualities of the year. This is all class and elegance. Small red berries, flowers and licorice reappear on the finish. The Petite Chapelle was vinified with 50% whole clusters and aged in 100% new oak. Rating: 93-95 Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com (Nov 2013)

Bright, saturated medium ruby. Reduced aromas of dark raspberry, fresh herbs and pepper. Complex, smoky and sweet, with lovely generosity and elegance to the black raspberry, saline and floral flavors. This seemed higher in acidity from barrel a year ago. Deep, sweet, rich wine, with supple tannins that won't get in the way of pouring this into a carafe and enjoying it now. Rating: 92 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Mar 2013)
