Grapes Syrah, Grenache
Colour Rosé
Origin France, Provence
Sub-district Côtes de Provence Sainte Victoire
ABV 13%

Just as pale as the other Sainte Lucie wines, this selection of the very best plots is even more lifted, mineral and long, with a distinct ripe touch of juicy, salivating fruit flavour and lovely feel as it slip-slides seemingly weightlessly across the palate. L&S (Mar 2017)

Grassy nose, then generous raspberry fruit on the palate. Loads of flavour and sleekness. Musky finish. More flavour concentration than most rosé but the style is a little offbeat. Drinking range: 2017 - 2018 Rating: 16.5 Richard Hemming MW - www.JancisRobinson.com (Mar 2017)

Appellation: Côtes de Provence Sainte Victoire Grape varieties: 60% Syrah - 40% Grenache Vinification method: Made with grapes from the vines closest to the Mont Sainte-Victoire. Skin-contact maceration for five hours at cold temperatures, pressing with protection against oxidation, low temperature fermentation. Ageing: Six months on fine lees. Tasting: This wine with its rosewood coloured robe has a subtle nose which is pure, straightforward and harmonious, combining notes of red fruit with the soil's inherent minerality. Round attack on the palate with pleasant balance and a full-bodied and persistent finish. Food pairings: Ideal accompaniment for mixed grills (white and red meats), spiced dishes (stir fry, paella, couscous) or simply as an aperitif. This wine is the perfect partner for Mediterranean or oriental cuisine. Conservation: Drink within two years of vintage. A rosé wine which is even more enjoyable while soaking up the last rays of the summer. Winemaker's notes (Feb 2017)

Made in Provence

Formerly Domaine Sainte Lucie, this is a domaine with wonderful vineyard holding on the dry stony lower slopes of the Provençal icon mountain, the Mont Saint Victoire. Forty hectares of vines with an average age of thirty-five. These deep soils can only support vines, and are perfect for the production of low yields and fine wines. The wines are made from a mix of Grenache and Syrah, with smaller amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Carignan and Cinsault, and the rosés get an addition of Vermentino (Rolle) which adds a bright floral expression.
