We're delighted with this very smart Médoc, a steal for the price. With this brilliant wine the balance between ripeness, weight and the fresher, more 'claretty' lines of classic Bordeaux is spot on. There is much to enjoy with the depth of ripe plum and sweet cherry flesh - but also a high line of fresh spices, some pepper and some delicious wood-spice. A sophisticated, chic Bordeaux that will satisfy all. L&S (Jan 2023)

Château Aimée

Owned by Phillippe Reich, Aimée is a vineyard of only three hectares, on the classic Pyrenean gravels of the Médoc, with vines that average average around thirty years old. The grapes are hand-picked. The winery is equipped with a sorting table, with the wine made in a combination of stainless steel and concrete vats, with a cold maceration prior to fermentation at 15°C for four or five days under carbonic snow, before a normal fermentation. At the décuvage, the skins are pressed with vertical press.
