(from two parcels that total .866 ha in Le Rognet and Le Corton). Here too there is enough wood present to remark upon framing the ripe but cooler aromas of green apple, lemon rind and white peach. I very much like the texture to the bigger-bodied and more mineral-driven flavors that conclude in powerful, focused and youthfully austere finish that is markedly longer. At least moderate patience strongly recommended. Drinking range: 2029 - Rating: 91-94 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jun 2021)

The 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru opens in the glass with notes of white flowers, Meyer lemon, fresh pear, nutmeg and warm bread. Full-bodied, layered and muscular, it's a concentrated, serious and tightly wound wine that's built around chalky dry extract and tangy acids. This is very promising. Rating: 94-96 William Kelley, The Wine Advocate (Jan 2021)

More yellow than primrose. There is the usual superb energy to this wine but on a richer fuller scale. The fat fruity feel which comes from using cultured yeasts. Massive and very good on the palate, the stones are there with a lemon minerality. Long finish. Should be excellent. Tasted: November 2020 **** Rating: 94 - 96 Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy  (Jan 2021)

The 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has a very tight bouquet that struggles to follow the excellent Bâtard-Montrachet; it feels a bit mute at the moment. The palate is balanced with strong lime and orange cordial notes on the entry and good acidity, yet I find this a little monochromatic on the finish – it doesn’t really take you anywhere. Drinking range: 2022 - 2030 Rating: 88-90 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (Dec 2020)
