The 2020 Clos de Beze is a total knockout. Heavily laden with bright zippy fruit - sweet cranberries and pert raspberries lead the charge - there is great acidity and endless energy too. The rich weight of fruit remains spritely and so lifted, despite its intensity. This motors across the palate flicking switches of joy along the way and goes on and on. Clean lines and confident push make you want to go back for more. A wine with a long, bright future. Brilliant. L&S (Nov 2021)

A majestic red, serene and refined, displaying cherry, strawberry, dried rose, sandalwood, licorice and iron aromas and flavors. Firms up, turning denser as this builds to the finish, all the while remaining balanced, poised and complex through the lingering aftertaste of fruit, spices and mineral. Ethereal. Best from 2027 through 2047. Drinking range: 2027 - 2047 Rating: 98 Bruce Sanderson, The Wine Spectator (Mar 2023)
Woo wee! There are lots of spicy top notes, even barbecue spices, and aged meats on this nose. Sweet and crunchy red fruits press into the palate along with smoky oak, forest floor and pencil lead. The fine tannins sit primly on the palate while the reverberating acidity supports the medium body. This is immediately enticing but deserves time in bottle. Drinking range: 2025 - 2045 Rating: 97 Christy Canterbury MW - TimAtkin.com (Feb 2022)
The 2020 Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru is brilliant, unwinding in the glass with aromas of wild berries and cherries mingled with dark chocolate, sweet spices, peonies and grilled squab. Full-bodied, layered and velvety, it's concentrated and multidimensional, with a dramatically textural, perfumed palate and a long, saline finish. Rating: 95-97 William Kelley, The Wine Advocate (Jan 2022)
