This is a mix of 2 specific Vineyards - La Barre and Les Fromanges. Lovely nose draws you in floral and bright fruited. There is weight and intensity here but so neatly checked by a lovely lick of citrus, and gentle pithy scrape. L&S (Oct 2023)

P & M Jacqueson

The domaine was founded in 1946 by Henri Jacqueson and passed to his son Paul. Marie joined her father in 2006 and since 2015 she and her brother Pierre run the estate, now known simply as P&M Jacqueson. The domaine consists of 18 hectares of vines, mostly in Rully, but also 5 in Mercurey and some in Bouzeron. The team also tend vines owned by their neighbours and make some beautiful wines from other peoples' fruit that they themselves have worked all year.

Traditional methods meticulously applied inspire everything they do: the grapes are harvested by hand and vinified in classical fashion, before an 茅levage in barrel (up to 25% new wood for the reds, just 20% for the 1er Cru Whites). The domaine has become adept at a sophisticated use of barrels, the 茅levage here is key to the quality they consistently achieve.

2025 CHRISTMAS RED & WHITE BURGUNDY MIXED CASE

Let's address the elephant in the room: Burgundy prices. It鈥檚 easy to assume that if you want 'proper' Burgundy this Christmas, the kind with soul, history, and that unmistakable terroir, you鈥檙e going to have to pay through the nose for it.
Well, we鈥檙e calling time on that myth.
We鈥檝e built this 12-bottle case (containing two of each wine) to prove a point: you can enjoy authentic, grower-quality Burgundy without breaking the bank.
We've hunted down the insider whites that over-deliver. There鈥檚 the 2021 Bourgogne Blanc from R茅mi Jobard, a wine with lovely fat richness from vines in Puligny and the M芒connais. We have a creamy-textured 2022 Rully from P & M Jacqueson, and a proper 2023 Chablis 1er Cru Beauroy from the Dauvissat family that boasts classic crushed rock and oyster shell character. And for the main event, a stunning 2023 Pouilly Fuiss茅 from Domaine Barraud, a big boy with superb depth.
For the reds, we鈥檝e gone off the beaten track to find incredible value. The 2020 Marsannay 'H茅ritage' from Domaine Huguenot is certified organic and offers rich volume with lovely freshness. Finally, the 2021 Santenay Vieilles Vignes from Domaine de la Choupette is a supple and rounded wine with old vines ripeness that is just so easy to drink.
This case is your proof that you can have a classic Christmas and still afford the presents.
