Sitting just northwest of Melbourne, the Macedon Ranges is one of Australia's most exciting wine regions. As the coolest mainland region, its high-altitude sites and low yields produce wines of real concentration and character.
At the heart of this growing community of quality-focused vineyards is passionate young winemaker Joshua Cooper. Cooper is rapidly establishing a reputation as one of the best young winemakers in the country.
Having bottled his first single-barrel vintage in 2012, he recently scooped up the coveted Best New Winery award from the Halliday Wine Companion. His terroir-driven approach and meticulous site-selection result in amazingly precise wines of crystal-clear individuality.
Wine critic Matthew Jukes recently featured five of his reds in his Top 100 Wines of Australia 2026, noting: these are wines of incredible detail and complexity.
