Bollinger Boat Race Champagne Offer
Our Bollinger Boat Race Offer is running until the end of next week, so do stock up on-line or drop into our shops this week before the race and take advantage. Our branches in Chiswick and in particular Barnes are close to the action on Saturday! We will no doubt be tweeting alongside Bollinger and other revellers on the day.
2013 Bordeaux Primeur – Pontet Canet out of the blocks (very) early
Pontet Canet caused a little stir by releasing their price early (at the same price as last year’s excellent 2012 wine). They made have made half as much, but this shows scant regard for the current market. We will wait until we’ve had the opportunity to taste next week. Plenty more news coming soon from Bordeaux with Charles on the annual ‘Primeur’ tasting tour of Bordeaux next week.
Vinitaly Wine Fair – Verona
Coming up in a couple of weeks, Vinitaly may well present some more interesting opportunities for wines to lay down in your cellar than the upcoming 2013 Bordeaux primeur campaign. Keep your eyes peeled for our tweets from the fair, David, Kate and Charles will all be in attendance. We will update you if anything catches our eye.
