The warm year of 2009 has in general made generous, relatively rich Champagnes, but as none of the usual critics have tried the 2009 Cristal, this offer is based on the marque and the glowing tasting notefrom Roederer’s own Chef de Cave.
This stock is not gift-boxed, and will be available for delivery only from October2016.
As Roederer’s website has it, this was originally the Tsar’s wine “Our House’s most famous wine was created in 1876 to satisfy the demanding tastes of Tsar Alexander II. The emperor asked Louis Roederer to reserve the House’s best cuvée for him every year. He was particularly fond of the House’s wine. To distinguish this cuvée, this exceptional champagne came in a flat-bottomed, transparent lead-crystal bottle. The new brand was named after this precious material, which is particularly transparent and luminous.”
We are offering this wine at £550/case of six In Bond, and you can take advantage of the offer by clicking here, or telephoning us on 02072440522.
