2006 Comtes de Champagne Brut
Pale gold hue with tight bubbles and a persistent cordon. Bouquet is youthful, light and delicate, with white fruit and chalky accent. Fresh yeast underlay. The wine is lovely, lemony and lively with concentrated fruit on the middle and back palate, and a touch of Thai spices, white pepper and brioche adding interest. Creamy-textured and lingering. Extremely inviting. L&S (Aug 2016)
*Case Price: Mix any 12 bottles of wine or 6 bottles of Champagne, Spirits or Fortified to get the 'case price' for each bottle.

This is a classic blanc de blancs - very pure with elegant brioche notes and apricot grattin flavours. This wine is not at its peak, but is drinking perfectly now. It's all that you want from a great Champagne. I would serve it with an old but classic recipe: lobster thermidor. Drinking range: 2016 - 2026 Gerard Basset OBE MW MS, Decanter (Oct 2016)
