Château des Graves
A very small (8 hectare) property in the the Graves de Portets. Looked after in the manner of a cru classé, with limited yields and ploughing rather than herbicides the vineyard is planted with 60% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon for the reds, and Sauvignon ans Semillon for the whites. Vinfication is modern, with complete de-stemming and a cuvaison of 20 days in stainless steel, before an élevage of a year in barrel, of which one third is renewed each year. The white is fermented in barrel.
