Spicier roundness here, but shining minerality too. Oyster shells with fresh lemon. Riper orchard fruit. Sea breeze. Richness evident but more subtle in this wine.

Just as much as the Poruzot is compact at this stage, the Genevrières is almost opulent, generous and suave, even showy. Punch and power on the finish.

Quite the step up. Far more ripe fruit on the nose. Not over the top though. You can really feel the sunshine in this. Ripeness on the palate but lots of energy.

After the village wines, this shows another level of finesse of structure and supple flow. Fleshy, almost, mineral too, not really a fruit character, just a seamless vinous richness with a delicate freshness to the finis...(read more)

Showing well for a couple of years now, open nose, rich and full, with good chewy black-cherry length. Of course it will keep, but this is good drinking.
