Here too there is a discreet application of wood that sets off the airy red berry fruit nose that is cut with distinct sauvage hints as well as undertones of freshly turned earth, cut roots and an herbal note. The supple, intense and beautifully detailed middle weight flavors culminate in a cool, focused and intensely stony finish that is moderately austere, powerful, balanced and delivers sneaky length. Promising but be prepared to have plenty of patience. Drinking range: 2023 - Rating: 92 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jan 2011)
