The 2010 Chambolle-Musigny Les Echanges is a big wine endowed with gorgeous depth and power. Waves of black fruit hit the palate in this exuberant, fleshy Chambolle. Today the Echanges is racy and full of promise. 2015-2025 Rating: 91-93 Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com (Nov 2013)

Pretty purple fruit and violet aromas give way to attractively detailed and tender middle weight flavors that possess a silky mouth feel before terminating in a delicate and lacy finish. The exceptionally fine tannins contribute to this sense of delicacy and this should be approachable young. Drink 2016+ Rating: 89-91 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Mar 2012)

Dark ruby-red. Urgent crushed blueberry and blackberry aromas lifted by powdered stone. Juicy, vibrant and highly concentrated but youthfully imploded, with very primary black fruit and violet flavors currently suppressed by CO2. This well-balanced, very firmly built wine will need a good six or seven years of bottle aging. Rating: 90 - 92 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Jan 2012)

Domaine Christophe Perrot-Minot

Christophe Perrot-Minot is now the fourth generation of his family producing wine on the estate after his great grandfather Amédée Merme devoted himself to the management and production of wine over 130 years ago. The estate has gone from strength to strength – always keeping the highest standards. Integrated viticulture has been practiced for many years now which has been adapted especially for the terroir. No herbicide or chemical fertilizer is used, instead, Christophe prefers to “stand back and listen to this terroir, only intervening when necessary or when the weather requires it, never systematically.” This is one of the star domaines of the whole of Burgundy.
