Healthy bright red. Expressive aromas of raspberry, redcurrant, spices and truffle. Juicy, sappy and creamy in the mouth, with rich red fruit flavors showing a slight medicinal reserve. Finishes with substantial ripe, dusty tannins and noteworthy length. Classic Gevrey, and a very strong village offering. Drinking range: 2018 - 2025 Rating: 90 Stephen Tanzer, www.vinousmedia.com (Mar 2015)

Good bright, full red. Exotic red berries on the nose and palate. Sweet, ripe and round, with sexy underbrush and game nuances. Plenty of gras here for village wine. Finishes with very smooth tannins. Rating: 87-90 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Mar 2014)

The 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin is soft, succulent and beautifully resonant in the glass. This is a decidedly supple Gevrey with tons of near-term appeal. Autumn leaves, spices and licorice meld together on the expressive finish. 2014-2020 Rating: 87-88 Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com (Jan 2014)

An elegant, pure and airy nose features notes of red berries, earth and a floral hint. There is a lovely richness and generosity to the equally pure middle weight flavors that display enough minerality to notice on the balanced and mildly austere finish. 2018+ Rating: 88-91 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jan 2014)

Domaine Christophe Perrot-Minot

Christophe Perrot-Minot is now the fourth generation of his family producing wine on the estate after his great grandfather Amédée Merme devoted himself to the management and production of wine over 130 years ago. The estate has gone from strength to strength – always keeping the highest standards. Integrated viticulture has been practiced for many years now which has been adapted especially for the terroir. No herbicide or chemical fertilizer is used, instead, Christophe prefers to “stand back and listen to this terroir, only intervening when necessary or when the weather requires it, never systematically.” This is one of the star domaines of the whole of Burgundy.
