Nice contrast to the Gevrey, this is a lovely juicy lifted style with classic Chambolle floral fruit. Quite relaxed, very pretty. This is 40% from Combe d'Orveau (premier cru), and 60% old vines from other plots. Drinking range: 2019 - L&S (Nov 2015)

This is all about the silky texture, setting the stage for cherry, strawberry and floral notes. Everything is in harmony, finishing with grace and subtlety. Drink now through 2028. Drinking range: 2017 - 2028 Rating: 92 Bruce Sanderson, The Wine Spectator (May 2017)

(the same blend of elements as the 2015 version): Bright, dark red. Cool scents of dark cherry, licorice and stone. Silky and nicely concentrated but showing little easy sweetness to its youthfully medicinal flavors of cherry and menthol. As there's less mid-palate flesh here than in the '15 version, the tannins come across as a bit tight today but the classically dry finish is tactile and persistent. Christophe Perrot-Minot says this wine is closed in the early going owing to its sizable Combe d'Orveau component. Drinking range: 2019 - 2026 Rating: 90 Stephen Tanzer, www.vinousmedia.com (Mar 2017)

This has easygoing charm with coffee notes and toasted oak. It improves in the glass and has volume and a supple, refined texture. Drinking range: 2019 - 2024 Rating: 88 Decanter Magazine (Oct 2016)

Domaine Christophe Perrot-Minot

Christophe Perrot-Minot is now the fourth generation of his family producing wine on the estate after his great grandfather Amédée Merme devoted himself to the management and production of wine over 130 years ago. The estate has gone from strength to strength – always keeping the highest standards. Integrated viticulture has been practiced for many years now which has been adapted especially for the terroir. No herbicide or chemical fertilizer is used, instead, Christophe prefers to “stand back and listen to this terroir, only intervening when necessary or when the weather requires it, never systematically.” This is one of the star domaines of the whole of Burgundy.
