With the 2014 there is a touch more crunch and crispness to the acidity and tannins. When you add that to Perron's normal supple polished black fruits, you get a wine that has everything in great balance. Undercut with a touch of leaf tea and gentle mint and dark chocolate. Drinking range: 2019 - 2025 L&S (Apr 2020)

Dating to the 17th century, this estate has now been in the Massonie famly for three generations. This wine has a good balance between serious tannins and crisp acidity, giving a wine that is developing well. With plenty of black-currant fruit, the wine is juicy and already attractive. Château Perron
Château Perron is located near the church in the village of Lalande-de-Pomerol. It has been the home of the Massonie family since 1958, although the château dates back to 1642. Michel Massonie, father of Bertrand who runs the estate today, was a well-known figure in the region and was instrumental in founding Lalande-de-Pomerol's wine brotherhood.
