Bright, quite succulent. Lovely feel, nice strawberry then a more bitter zippy note, Interesting and well done, on the lighter side. 82% Merlot and 18% Cabernet Franc. Drinking range: 2019 - 2025 Rating: 89 L&S (Apr 2015)

The Fugue de Nénin 2014 is a blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, including 4% pressed wine and 20% new oak. It has a light blackberry and raspberry-scented bouquet with graphite notes becoming more prominent with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a citrus-like entry leading to a slightly pinched finish. Not bad, but I'd willingly trade up to the Grand Vin, as there exists a palpable difference between the two.
