The Fugue de Nénin 2014 is a blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, including 4% pressed wine and 20% new oak. It has a light blackberry and raspberry-scented bouquet with graphite notes becoming more prominent with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a citrus-like entry leading to a slightly pinched finish. Not bad, but I'd willingly trade up to the Grand Vin, as there exists a palpable difference between the two. Drinking range: 2016 - 2021 Rating: 84-86 Neal Martin, 2015)

Light and sweet with an undertow of coffee grounds. Really quite 'Lite' in structure. Dryish. Drinking range: 2019 - 2026 Rating: 16 Jancis Robinson MW OBE - 2015)

Fragrant quite fresh the nose is light and bright and the start of the palate has bramble freshness. Sweet black plum gives more depth at the back the finish quite fresh and light. Drinking range: 2018 - 2027 Rating: 86-88 Derek Smedley MW, 2015)

The younger vines at this improving Pomerol property make up the core of the blend on the second wine. It's suitably sweet, forward and succulent with well integrated (20%) new oak, supple red fruits and attractive, light-weight tannins. Drinking range: 2020 - 2025 Rating: 92 Tim Atkin MW, 2015)

Bright and fruity with a pretty balance of cedar, walnut and cherries. Medium body and a light finish. Rating: 87-88 James Suckling, 2015)

The 2014 Fugue de Nenin is a soft, fruity wine to drink now and over the next few years, while the flavors remain vibrant. Crushed flowers, smoke and sweet spices lead into the juicy, inviting finish. Drinking range: 2017 - 2026 Rating: 88-88 Antonio Galloni, 2014)
