As soon as you put your nose in the glass - you can sense the class of this polished beauty. The fruit is dark and quite serious. There are lovely notes of damson and baked plums. This classic core is lifted and softened by some sweeter, riper black-fleshed berries. There are lovely baking-spice notes, some meaty wafts too - a generous, perfectly proportioned Claret that is generous enough to suit all palates. Such a sleek, polished flow leaves this the perfect bottle for drinking on a chilly evening. L&S (Nov 2019)

*Case price discount: Mix any 12 bottles (or 9l equivalent) of wine or 6 bottles of Champagne, Spirits, Sweet Wine or Fortified to get the 'case price' for each bottle.

Very ripe fruit and healthy tannins make this an impressive wine and the velvety texture that extends right through the rather long finish makes this easy to enjoy right now. Drink or hold. Rating: 91 James Suckling, 2018)

The 2015 de Malleret has turned out beautifully. Dark, sumptuous and also quite powerful, the 2015 packs a real punch. Inky blue/purplish fruit, leather, smoke, liquorice, chocolate and tobacco all hit the palate in this virile, brooding Haut Médoc Cru Bourgeois. The blend is 56% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot. Drinking range: 2018 - 2023 Rating: 90 Antonio Galloni, 2018)
