2015 Fronsac

Colour Red
Origin France, Bordeaux
Sub-district Fronsac & Canon Fronsac
Village Fronsac

The 2015 Château Les Trois Croix has a delightful, crisp and well-defined bouquet with vivacious black cherry and cassis aromas that soar from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple ripe black fruit, very poised and mineral-driven with succinctly integrated new oak on the finish. This is how to make great Fronsac - chapeau! Drinking range: 2020 - 2045 Rating: 91-93 Neal Martin, (Apr 2016)

Lovely texture of sweet, ripe tannins and bright, fragrant mid-palate fruit. Clean and firm on the finish. Drinking range: 2021 - 2028 Rating: 90 James Lawther MW, (Apr 2016)

Very sweet nose. Perfumed and sinewy but without perfect focus. Elements here rather than a whole. The finish is a tad rustic. Drinking range: 2021 - 2030 Rating: 16 Jancis Robinson OBE MW - (Apr 2016)

The 2015 Les Trois Croix boasts notable richness, with generous super-ripe fruit and plenty of volume. The creamy, expansive finish laced with lush dark red and purplish hued fruits, sweet spices and licorice only adds to the wine's considerable appeal. Readers should expect a bold, flamboyant Fronsac. Rating: 88-90 Antonio Galloni, (Apr 2016)
