This is the most concentrated and bold of Jayden's reds, but it doesn't feel heavy and lumbering at all. Aromas of blackberries and clove, violets and liquorice. In the mouth it has a lively freshness, plums, blackberries, fennel, clove and a touch savoury. The tannins are rich and structured, but the acid balances the ripe fruit beautifully, so the feel is supple and long. Drinking range: 2020 - 2030 L&S (Apr 2020)

La Maison de Ong is Jayden Ong's label for wines he makes from bought-in fruit from high altitude vineyards in the Yarra Valley. (See 'Jayden Ong' and 'One Block').
As he puts it "La Maison de Ong" range usually comes from two blocks or vineyards, and hence could not come under the One Block label. Initially it was a focus on premium Yarra Valley red wines, which through experience has become a focus on higher altitude Yarra Valley red wine. A combination of grower fruit & leased vineyards." It's well worth looking at Jayden's other labels too.
