More generous on nose than the Echezeaux at this stage. Then a brighter, more lively palate. Seriously intense but this has more gloss and brightness than the more serious and gutsy Echezeaux. Delicious. Sleek, loaded with beautifully pert red berries and sweet flow. A super, zinging finish is marked by a slightly riper, darker fruit sensation. Yum. This year the Latricieres Chambertin and the Echezeaux are new arrivals for the domaine - and exciting ones! L&S (Oct 2018)

There is a whiff of post-bottling reduction that is just enough to push what appears to be ripe and clean fruit to the background. The finer and almost delicate middle weight flavors possess even more minerality on the lingering, balanced and ultra-pure finale. This is a Latricières of lace and grace yet the supporting tannins are fine but dense and should have no trouble seeing this through an extended aging curve. Drinking range: 2032 - Rating: 94 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Apr 2019)

The 2017 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has a light floral bouquet, although it seems very similar to the Echézeaux at the moment. The palate is fresh on the entry, then those wood tannins begin to take over midway through. I like the spiciness here and the grip, but the finish feels a little predictable. Drinking range: 2023 - 2038 Rating: 89-91 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (Jan 2019)

Domaine Henri Boillot

A domaine which dates to 1885, but which began properly in the early years of the 20th century under the current Henri's grandfather (also Henri). His son, Jean, was the one who really developed it. Henri arrived in 1975 and worked his way up, becoming the winemaker. In 2000 he began the building of the new winery at the bottom of Meursault, and he then bought out his brother and sister to keep the domaine as one, renaming it from 'Domaine Jean Boillot' to 'Domaine Henri Boillot' to avoid confusion with his brother Jean-Marc's domaine.

The Domaine totals around 14 hectares, with roughly equal surfaces of red and white, and of which just under 4ha is the Monopole vineyard of Clos de la Mouchère, a walled enclave within the premier Cru Puligny Perrières. The 2017 vintage saw the arrival of two new parcels of Grand Cru red, in Échezeaux and Latricières Chambertin
