The debut 2018 Côte de Nuits Les Leury was touched by hail, ergo Thibault Liger-Belair did not include any whole bunch in the blend. This has a well-defined and quite tertiary nose of brambly red fruit mixed with field mushrooms and wet limestone. The medium-bodied palate offers crunchy red fruit. This feels quite compact and does not quite flow toward the end, maybe because of the hail damage. Drinking range: 2020 - 2024 Rating: 85-87 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (Jan 2020)
