Deep colour, full and succulent, stays fresh and with supple mid-palate weight and a fine, direct Médoc character. Some charm to the feel, a nice gentle rich aspect to the fruit with spice and vigour, this is another excellent Médoc from Philippe and Gilles Reich, who also make the popular Château Aimée. Sandwiched between Picon and Le Peyrat just off the road to Valeyrac approximately 10km north of St Estephe, Chateau l'Argenteyre is owned by the Reich brothers Philippe and Gilles. Everything here is done by hand, hard graft in the vineyards, followed by careful considered winemaking, with aging for 12 months in oak prior to bottling.

It all starts with a celebratory fizz from Jean-Louis Denois, a man who left Champagne to find the brilliant terroir of Limoux. For the whites, we’ve included our own-label White Burgundy, a smart, 'perfectly concentrated' Chardonnay from a single vineyard source, alongside a zesty, mineral Soave Classico from Le Battistelle, grown on ancient, basalt-rich volcanic soils.
For the reds, we've covered every base. There's a classic, supple Cru Bourgeois Médoc from Château L'Argenteyre, a juicy, spicy Côtes du Rhône from the three friends from Ireland who founded the rising-star Domaine Les Deux Cols, and a cheerful, laid-back Rioja from the Artuke brothers, who are making a thoroughly modern style of wine.
