This 2019 medium lemon gem Vinho Verde from Casa Agricola is both light in body and alcohol, with subtle lemon and tangerine notes on the nose. The palate follows through with additional refreshing notes of green apple, with a highly acidic finish, along with the characteristic spritz, so typical in Vinho Verde. This occurs during the fermentation process. This style of wine is perfect on it's own on a warm summer's evening, and you can picture the rolling hills of Northern Portugal whilst you sip. It really does wet your appetite and the perfect aperitif! The region is in Northern Portugal, north west of Porto and is influenced climatically by the Atlantic Ocean to the west. L&S (Jul 2020)
