The 2021 Moulin de Duhart is very beautiful. Silky, supple and exceptionally polished, crushed flowers, spice and red-toned fruit all grace this easygoing Pauillac. Drinking range: 2024 - 2033 Rating: 90 Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com (Feb 2024)
The 2021 Moulin de Duhart retains that strawberry-scented bouquet, perhaps a little more linear than when I encountered it from barrel. The palate is medium-bodied with strict tannins, quite piquant in style with a touch of sour cherry and a tang of seaweed toward the finish. Drink this over the next four to five years. The 2021 Moulin de Duhart, aged in used oak, has quite a juicy nose, driven by the 64% Merlot, with copious raspberry preserve and crushed strawberry scents, and just a hint of pencil lead in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a touch of sour dark cherry, and quite citric toward the finish. Fresh but not aggressive, this will require just two or three years in bottle.
