(primarily chardonnay with about 30% pinot blanc). The pinot blanc in the blend is in evidence as there is a touch of exoticism in the form of melon and pear compote. The fleshy, round and generous medium weight flavors tighten up somewhat on the clean, crunchy and nicely dry finale where a bead of minerality adds a sense of lift. Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay complanted, with around 30% of the former. Mid lemon yellow, quite rich on the nose, with a little oak. Pretty intense, with a good thread of acidity. The lack of the word 'domaine' in the name signals that this is a négociant wine from Thibault Liger-Belair. On the whole Thibault buys grapes having tended the vines with his own team, so that the wines are domaine wines in all but name.

20-30% Pinot Blanc in the vineyard. Long fermentation, so still half-made when we tasted. Good volume and body, it's something a little different, but very likeable. Not very deep soils - it's on pebbles.
