Don Cristobal

Formed in 1999, and owned by the Latinfina S.A firm, the goal of Don Cristobal 1492 was to use only their own grapes in their wines, thereby ensuring the best quality they could. They chose Mendoza as the base for their vineyards due to its well-known terroir, good growing conditions, and excellent supply of highly-skilled workers.

2001 was the first harvest of Don Cristobal 1492, and it was released onto the market with the tagline ‘the wines of the new world for the entire world’, highlighting their desire to boost the company’s local and international development.
