Immediately appealing creamy-clean nose. Fat and fresh, with a textured togtherness on the palate, and a little spice too. Long already, and all the elements to go on well are here. Drinking range: 2016 - 2022 L&S (Nov 2014)

Pale yellow. Sweet, ripe aromas of yellow plum and oak char, plus a more exotic suggestion of mirabelle. The yellow fruit flavors show good power and penetration, along with an attractive sucrosité that belies the wine's extremely low residual sugar (0.3 g/l, according to Boillot). Tactile and very dry on the finish. This wine has turned out very well. Drinking range: 2018 - 2025 Rating: 91 Stephen Tanzer, www.vinousmedia.com(Sep 2015)
Vibrant with a lot fruit and spices, extremely elegant on the palate and tropical fruit finish Drinking range: 2016 - 2024 Rating: 90 Gerard Basset OBE MW MS, Decanter(Feb 2015)

Coolish and lively sleek nose with just a suggestion of smokiness and struck match. Pretty introvert and embryonic. Drinking range: 2019 - 2026 Rating: 17 Jancis Robinson MW OBE - www.JancisRobinson.com(Jan 2015)
Rating: 94 Tim Atkin MW, www.timatkin.com(Jan 2015)
Pale yellow. Pungent aromas of lemon and lime zest and vanilla. Juicy but a bit youthfully tart and not yet expansive, with firm acidity keeping the lemon zest and spice flavors under wraps today. The impression of tartness carries through on the finish. Not noticeably better than the village wine in the early going. Boillot uses about 25% new oak to age his white wines. Rating: 88-91 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar(Sep 2014)
Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot
Jean-Marc Boillot left the family domaine to be winemaker to Olivier Leflaive for five years. Then from his maternal grandfather Étienne Sauzet he inherited much of the vineyard of the old Domaine Sauzet, in some of the best vineyards of Puligny, and with this holding and others from his paternal side, he set up his own business. He makes wines that show well young, with complex exotic fruit aromas with the core of minerality, but they age well too. His daughter Lydie and son are now taking a more active role in the domaine, and they have branched out with a thriving négociant business and a property near the Pic Saint Loup in the Languedoc - Domaine des Roques.
