A stylish, fresh red, with spiced black raspberry and black currant fruit and accents of green olive, dried thyme and sweet smoke, finely meshed with long, supple tannins. Agricola Punica
Agricola Punica is a joint venture, started in 2002, between Sebastiano Rosa, of the San Guido estate, and the Santadi winery. Oenologist Giacomo Tachis, Antonello Pilloni (president of Santadi) and the Marquis Nicolo Incisa della Rochetta (San Guido - Sassicaia) are also shareholders.
The vineyards are in the southwestern part of Sardinia, the region know as 'Isola dei Nuraghi', planted with Carignano, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah, as well as some Sardinian varieties.
