Restrained dark fruit nose of blackcurrant. Slick dark fruit on the palate too but not particularly concentrated. Light style considering the vintage. The minerality adds to the structure. Slightly disappointing finish. Drinking range: 2021 - 2029 L&S (Apr 2019)

Blueberries and dried currants on the nose with savory oyster shell, tobacco and graphite. Dried violets, too. It’s medium-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins. Layered and flavorful. Barrel sample. Deepest black-cherry colour. Quiet nose with just a hint of crushed stones and blackcurrant. The tannins are dry but fine-grained and it has an attractive lightness of touch compared with the density of many. Château Camensac
This chateau has moved from a postion in relative obscurity it deservedly held for several decades. It now reliabley produces wine of very good quality. The Forner family bought the chateau in 1964 and immediately started renovating the property. Since owning the chateau, they have renovated or replaced the winery equipment and production facilities. They have also restored the 18th century Manor House.
