Chambolle in the old-rose style, deep and rich yet so incredibly fine - hedonistic and intellectually stimulating at the same time - really pretty stunning. Drinking range: 2023 - 2033 L&S (Oct 2020)

(from a blend of 40% Les Charmes and 60% Les Fuées). A completely different nose is brooding and somber and only reluctantly offers up its aromas of blue pinot fruit that is liberally laced with spice and floral nuances, especially violet and rose petal. The strikingly vibrant and intense middle weight flavors are not super-dense, but they are silky, tension-filled and precise while displaying outstanding persistence on the balanced finale. I very much like the sophisticated mouthfeel and this should be really lovely in time. Drinking range: 2029 - Rating: 91-93 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jan 2021)

A blend of premiers crus Charmes and Fuées, Perrot-Minot's new 2019 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Charmes de Fuées is showing beautifully, bursting with scents of cherries, raspberries and plums, complemented by hints of rose petal, orange rind and espresso roast. Medium to full-bodied, perfumed and fleshy, it's layered and lively, framed by powdery tannins. Rating: 92-94 William Kelley, The Wine Advocate (Jan 2021)

The name of the cuvée should tell you which two vineyards are blended here. There is not enough fruit to make each separately. Rich dense purple, a little bit of farmyard to the nose, certainly softer and rounder after the racy mineral Morey. Sweet ripe strawberry with a little fresher raspberry, weighty, generous, appealing but less classy than most of Christophe Perrot-Minot’s wines. Tasted: November 2020 3/5 stars Rating: 91-94 Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy  (Jan 2021)

Domaine Christophe Perrot-Minot

Christophe Perrot-Minot is now the fourth generation of his family producing wine on the estate after his great grandfather Amédée Merme devoted himself to the management and production of wine over 130 years ago. The estate has gone from strength to strength – always keeping the highest standards. Integrated viticulture has been practiced for many years now which has been adapted especially for the terroir. No herbicide or chemical fertilizer is used, instead, Christophe prefers to “stand back and listen to this terroir, only intervening when necessary or when the weather requires it, never systematically.” This is one of the star domaines of the whole of Burgundy.
